John Raisin was a Director of Finance/Chief Finance Officer in Local Authorities, and Lead Officer (Head of Fund) to both a County Council and London Borough LGPS Fund. Presently John Raisin Financial Services Limited (JRFS) is a provider of Independent Advisor and expert support to LGPS Funds – we understand your issues and problems and can provide focused support. Additionally John Raisin, in a personal capacity, was Independent Chair of the Merseyside LGPS Fund Local Pension Board from 2015 to 2025.
Support is available across all aspects of the Local Government Pension Scheme in terms of Governance, Investment, Administration, and Funding issues.
John Raisin Financial Services Limited (JRFS) has worked directly with a number of Local Government Pension Funds and other stakeholders in the LGPS across a wide variety of issues. We are currently retained as Independent Advisors for Governance, Investment, and Administration to the London Borough of Haringey and London Borough of Waltham Forest LGPS Funds. We were also, from 2015 to 2025, Independent Advisor to the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham LGPS Fund and Advisor to the Pension Board of the Nottinghamshire LGPS Fund. Training across all aspects of the CIPFA LGPS Knowledge and Skills framework has also been provided to a number of Funds, as have Independent Governance Reviews. We are particularly interested in appointment as Independent Person to LGPS Funds. We look forward to working with new clients.
